Today was my second drain of (previous version) M1 15W-50.
It was reddish. On my hand, someone could have thought it was a blood-oil mix. I think Geritol used to be this color.

I don't remember this in the previous drain.

I've been using Shell V-Power (is that the name?).
Nothing else has changed.
Has anyone else observed this?

My 02 Trailblazer has also been like that since mile 1 also. Just drained my second fill of GC, went in green, came out red! Hey, We did get it at Christmas time!!
We use almost nothing but Shell gas also. Reg 87 most of the time, however, it does run better with premium.

I drained the oil in my Onan genset in the RV last week, it also came out red! Can't remember for sure what I put in it last year but it was probably Rotella T 15w-40. Now that I think about it I keep the gas doped up with Sta-Bil which is red....hmmmm...

I have many different brand of oil both synthetic and regular come out red or orange a few time! I think it is related to what fuel additives are in the gas you buy from the gas station.

My wife and I typically fillup at the same gas stations and it still comes out reddish orange. My Silverado 5.3 had the oil changed at the same time with M1 5-30 all of which was bought at the same time from the same place. The Silverado just gets brown. I use AC Delco pf59 filters on both which is nice because I was able to buy a case cheap.
