My New Prosthetic Leg

Best of luck with your new leg. How long do they last before you replace them? Or is the replacement chosen based on the advances they have to improve the design and functionality or the prosthetic?

I don't know. I kind of dig the retro look. Congrats on the new prosthetic.

From my Navy corpsman days we'd calculate the %age of burned area. Each leg was ~9%. I say that makes you 9% more bullet proof than the rest of us! You just got a bit of lagniappe. (y)

BZ Sir!

Theoretically, I'm allowed a leg every year. But, IMHO, I feel like that is so wrong. There are so many Veterans, and unfortunate amputees, that can step in front of me and get that needed prosthetic instead of me. I have mine built to last years (usually a maximum of 4 years). Each year I go without a leg someone else very deserving gets one. 🇺🇸 🦅
