My (good as) new Cerwin Vega D5's

I had D9 when I was an audiophile "snob" for "rock" speakers. I had picked them in a blind review with some very heady and pricey competition at an Audio store in Salem at the time. - Ken

I sold my D5s a week ago to a young guy.
He contacted me the other day and said that his friend has an old pair of D9s and would like me to refoam them.
He's going to remove the woofers and bring them here for evaluation. I never did 15"s before ... should be cool.

Cerwin Vega's were killer rock speakers! Famous for foundation rattling bass! I have a Cerwin Vega subwoofer.

My cousin owns a pair of Klipsch tower speakers. I bet they're 4' or taller. I think they were made in the late 70's or early 80's. Within the last 6 months he had them rebuilt. Those things will rattle the windows, make you go deaf, bring the roof down.......you get the point. He has all Yamaha components powering them.

Nice! I like my Polk speakers. I have blown up my share of speakers over the years. Must be part of the reason I have ringing in the ears.
