I will most definatly be doing a UOA on this in about 3500 miles. That will take all winter with how many miles we drive. And after a nice cold Colorado winter it will be a good test for it.

New label on the bottle. Durablend is in steel with diamond plate behind it. New description on the back as well.

"Built to deliver in High-stress situations like hauling and towing, and high heat conditions."

Also mentions "Synthetic base oils and high performance additives protect engines under highstress."

"Unique additives respond to the strain of hauling or towing, cold weather starts, and high heat conditions."

We shall see!!!!!!! Paid 2.49$ a qt.

Not a bad price per quart when you compare this oil to conventional oil that is around 2.00 now like castrol and valvoline all climate.

Several years ago I remember driving through Limon, correct me if wrong but I believe it is on interstate 70 on the high plains. It was March and the wind was blowing and it was snowing sideways. I went to college in Steamboat Springs Colorado.

That's Limon. It's a Prison town(large facility just south of town) and a agri/truckstop town. constant breeze/hurricane. 3-4 white out blizzards a winter. Armpit of the west.

I saw it today at Meijer. They only had it in 5w30 and 10w30. I suppose the other grades will follow, at least on the SM part. Couple monnths ago Durablend was under $2 at Pep Boys, but that was SL.

EDIT: Just visited the Valvoline web site. Not a word about the new SM/GF-4 oil. I remember when Maxlife Synthetic came out it seemed to take a couple months for them to get it on the web site. Maybe they want to be sure it is widely available before they formally announce it.
