You must have an automatic transmission. I'm aware about the the problems there, my wife's got an acura TL. I have the fluid changed at the dealer every 30k miles....just to document that it's been done. Acura extended the warranty on the trans to 7 years/100k miles.

Yup, the trannies on your generation TL are even worse. lots of problems. My cars is still fine, and im knocking on wood.

Small shards of metal do end up on the drain plug once in a while, in the tranny. oh well.
