Nope, They were K-based. Some had the Mitsubishi turbo or later they may have had the Mitsubishi V6.
2.2 or 2.5 Mopar engine is what most of them had.

You are thinking Mopars first mass produced DOHC engine. It was a 2.2 DOHC engine with a head designed by Lotus.
The head actually had an issue with cracking.
It was used only in the Dodge Spirit R/T and Dodge Daytona IROC R/T(with the 4cyl engine as there was a V6 IROC)
