Nope, They were K-based. Some had the Mitsubishi turbo or later they may have had the Mitsubishi V6. 2.2 or 2.5 Mopar engine is what most of them had.

So the V6 was a Mitsubishi. It was a 3.0 You are thinking Mopars first mass produced DOHC engine. It was a 2.2 DOHC engine with a head designed by Lotus. The head actually had an issue with cracking. It was used only in the Dodge Spirit R/T and Dodge Daytona IROC R/T(with the 4cyl engine as there was a V6 IROC)
