My son has a 2.0T limited. 2012 I think. Driving on the highway, and the engine seized. Hyundai had some known issues with the engine. At 107,000 miles, they pulled the valve covers, and oil pan. All were clean. Hyundai paid for a late model renter, and gave him a new engine. That's customer service in my book.

Thanks. I'am at 96,263 mile today. Using Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5W30.

Yeah, I know about the known problems. Just had the 953 engine ECM/Cluster recall update done. Which is supposed to inform the operator of engine failure before the engine would get to the point of seizing. Also the warranty coverage on the engine has been pushed to 120,000 miles. After they did the update the tech told me that their computer didn't pick up any bearing wear sounds or vibrations. I'm not to worry about it really.

looks nice! also like the color haha 😂 any update on your Sonata now that’s it been 1.5 years? I have the lesser version but still an extremely good car now with 53K. The 2.4l uses no Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 in between 6.5K OCI
