Anybody use this oil? (did a forum search and turned up empty handed).
I'm looking to do extended oil changes on a 07 Ford Fusion v6 w/44,xxx miles on it (auto). Currently using 5w20 syn blend w/mc filter (5,000 intervals). We use this car for long trips and everything in between. I'm just hitting the 5g mark rather fast and would like to go longer with a full synthetic. I was looking at Amsoil sso 0w30 when I stumbled across MC full syn on amazon.
I would like to go maybe 10,000(+) in between oil changes. Wondering if this MC can possibly do that (or close to it).

I'm sure it could do 10K, but if it were me, I would not exceed Ford's OCI until it was out of warranty. Heaven forbid you have an engine related warranty issue, you don't want them to have an excuse to deny the claim. Check your owner's manual. I think the OCI for normal service is 7500 miles.

It's the same oil as Kendall GT-1 Full Syn, another ConocoPhilips product. It will probably handle 10k OCIs in a D30, but I wouldn't go over 7500 without UOAs.

Good point, pretty sure oci is 5000 but I'll double check. This oil doesn't seem to get any chatter here. I can't find a UOA or anything on it for that matter.

So I ordered this oil from Amazon thinking I would be getting full synthetic as listed on the site: "Motorcraft XO5W20QSP Premium Synthetic Motor Oil, Case of 12." Price is $49.38 with free shipping. $4.12 a quart seems like a good deal for a synth MC. What to they send me? Semi synth!! It's going back at their expense. Beware if anyone else thinks they're getting a good deal on MC synth. You're not.

I was buying some Motorcraft gold coolant at my Ford dealership, while doing so I asked how much a qt. of Motorcraft Fully Synthetic cost.....He said $7.00, so I think Im better off sticking with the Mobil 1 5qt jug for 22.00 :!Other then the dealer I wouldnt know where to find Fully syn Motorcraft?

Yup, I picked up some MotorCraft 5w-20 Full synthetic at Advance on Tuesday for $5.29 a quart! Every pay day I buy a couple of quarts & add to my stash!

Amazon's description should match the part number since few people would know just from the part number what the product is. Amazon doesn't say synth-blend, or semi-synth, etc. They just say "premium synthetic."
