priced as low as it is, would you think motorcraft semi-syn is better than all similarly priced conventionals? (20 weights)

or is the syn content not really that important?

i know each person has there favorite brand, but with all labels removed and prices fairly equal, (10-13 $ per 5 qts jug)
does the motorcraft out class the others?

if usage is dependant, then lets say: 3000-6000 oci's , 50/50 driving, temps from 0-100 F

I believe UOAs mean close to nothing they way they are generally misinterpreted on this forum. Maybe only TBN retention is worthwhile - you can test this at home. I would call most all SM oil semi-synthetic by the current NA definition of synthetic.

Motorcraft is excellent oil. That said, I also don't think the synthetic content really means much. It is just the path they chose to blend the oil to meet specs. They could have chosen another path and still ended up with excellent oil.

agreed. i've often wondered why some aren't labeled as such, pyb for example.
