It's probably of decent quality, manus. It may or may not be of US origin ..but so what? Europe has fine filter manufacturers.

Ok, thanks Gary. I just tried the filter on the country of production but there is nothing written, only "fo.mo.co.EFL600"

This number helped get some hits on google

978M6714B2A

It appears to fit Festiva and Focus in Oz (AU).

If you're confident it is a genuine aftermarket OEM part, then I would not doubt the quality of it. Ford is pretty anal about their oil filters ..at least in the USA.

Exact Gary! The filter is just right! I always buy from authorized Ford dealer, so it's original OEM for sure. Thanks anyway.

that part number is interesting. 6714 is a base number for an oil filter usually used on farm equipment. the new FL-500S has that base number as well. most ford filters used in the US use the 6731 base number. the FL-820S for example has a real part number of F1AZ-6731-BD

That filter appears to be the same as the U.K. built Ford filter which is installed in many 2.0L and 2.3L Ford Focus engines.
