Motorcraft FL400S @1963 miles

Installed on recently acquired 1.9 liter DOHC S-series Nov 2018 -Jan 2019, first OCI under my watch. Used Mobil Super Synthetic 5w-30. Added 1/2 can of mos2 for the last 462 miles of the OCI.

FL400S always looks great. Date code: 908081213

Later I will cut the media to view particulates.

Whatever oil you've been running, looks like it's doing a good job of cleaning some gunk out of the engine

Yep, these cars are great IF you properly maintain them. The vehicle had the original thermostat and it was stuck open. Even the infamous resin tipped Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor was original! Running rich, idling at 1200 rpm. I am sure the engine was heavily gunked up. I have caught up the maintenance and the patient is doing well.

Wow, nowhere near the amount liberated in the flush filter L20195 though.. I still have the media of the TG3600 to cut and will then update that thread.

It looks like the Mobil Super Synthetic is cleaning things. I would probably continue the same and see.

Looks like a good filter to me. I still have a half dozen left in the garage. I can sleep at night now.

Currently installed is a PSL20195 with Mobil Super semisynthetic High Mileage & Marvel Mystery Oil 3000.

Next OCI will be Mobil 1

That's a great looking used filter. I'd keep using them for sure. Great price and so easily available.
