I believe it's 80% at 20 microns. Pretty strong filter media... Louvers were open.. 57 pletes..
I tried pulling the top and bottom apart by hand, didn't come apart..How strong did that glued seam look. Did you try to split it.
Very nice cut and posts here and lately. I thank you sirI believe it's 80% at 20 microns. Pretty strong filter media... Louvers were open.. 57 pletes..
You're welcomeVery nice cut and posts here and lately. I thank you sir
I wish the 820's looked as good as your 500.I also just tried pulling the louvers apart they would not tear, pretty well made..
You have cut one open I take?I wish the 820's looked as good as your 500.
USCAR-36 says an oil filter must be at least 95% @ 30u, and Motorcrafts meet USCAR-36. 95% @ 30u may be pretty close to the 80% @ 20u that Motorcraft use to claim. Then you have the old ISO-4548-12 efficiency info from Amsoil showing an FL-820S at 93.7% @ 20u.Looks good! I thought the efficiency was higher than that? Don't remember now where I got that idea.
USCAR-36 is a specification that just says it has to be at least that efficient ... so it could be more efficient. You wouldn't know unless the filter was actually ISO 4548-12 tested.Thank you for the update so it's 95% @ 30 microns?
I understand thank you,...USCAR-36 is a specification that just says it has to be at least that efficient ... so it could be more efficient. You wouldn't know unless the filter was actually ISO 4548-12 tested.
Yeah, but finding the efficiency results claims may be a trip down the rabbit hole, lol.Now my question doesn't Mann and Hummel test these filters? Obviously they do,
Yeah, but finding the efficiency results claims may be a trip down the rabbit hole, lol.
Maybe I can email them that at the same time, as I email them the micron rating?Like our govt releasing information related to JFK….
