The 3.7 has an internal water pump. Watch for a small coolant leak at the water pump leak hole. A you tube video will show you the exact location to watch for. If the internal water pump seal fails completely, it will dump coolant into the engine. Check under the intake manifold for a leak at the coolant crossover tube, those o-rings have been known to fail also.

I meant to mention what the comment was about.

When I had an oil change they said that the degas bottle was "almost empty" and that there were no external leaks.

Shortly after I had enough down time to get it into a dealer at home and they determined it was holding pressure with a cooling system pressure test. They state (and alldata agrees) that it is a conventional water pump on this vehicle.

I'll try to have a look at the crossover tube..
 
Sorry, I assumed from the mileage that it was one of the newer fords with a traverse mounted engine. In the standard online configuration, it would have an external mounted water pump. Also check by the coolant crossover by the rear of the engine.
