Fasty; I just installed a Motor Guard on my engine and tranny and my results are very similar to yours, I have messed with bypass filters on and off for a while now and IMO the Motor Guard is one of the best out there, hands down. Changing the tp is no big deal either, very clean and easy. Ralph is also an excellent person to deal with, very knowlegable and provides great service.I also set my wife's 2003 Jeep Rubicon up with a Motor Guard on the engine and tranny and they work great. A few people on the board reported that after installing a bypass filter on their vehicles they ran and shifted smoother. Well, I noticed this as well on both cars. I think for the price of the Motor Guard and the price to maintain it, the Motor Guard is a hard filter to beat. I would recommend it to anyone considering a bypass filter.

Edit - Now they're working...weird.

Thanks Fasty and Plexx. I have always been partial to the Motor Guard. Motor Guard gave up on selling auto filters after about 10 years. I made up my mind that I wanted them back. They still get calls from people wanting them. They are happy to send them to me.
I sent 5 M-30's to the Bahamas a few years ago for some diesel generators at a tourist resort. The same guy just ordered Five for diesel generators on a ship. I think most of the customers are from this forum. A lot of people read this forum.
I modified a Fleetguard LF-750 oil filter housing to take two rolls of Kleenex Viva and three rolls of Scott 1000 sheet TP. It makes an element 7 1/2" by 15" long. It should take a diesel pickup 30 thousand miles between filter changes. The stock element uses recycled newspapers. I haven't tested the stock element. I know it is very good.
