Motivation from Wrenchtuner44- Saturday night KC strip steaks

It snowed last night in Columbia, SC. Wrenchturner44 recommend I fire up the grill and share the results. I had not planned on cooking, just warming up leftovers. Always up for a recommendation- thanks Wrenchturner, the meal hit the spot.

Two KC strip steaks from Sams club. Above average marbling. Use paper towels to dry the steak. Pepper, and then season. Let steak sit for 30 minutes at room temperature. Fire up the grill and get it as hot as possible. Cook each side of steak for 4-4.30 seconds. Let steak rest for five minutes after taking off the grill.

Green beans are microwaved for five minutes, then sauteed in olive oil and sun dried tomatoes.

For dessert, Godiva molten cake mix from COSTCO. Super easy to make, center is hot, moist, and so very good.

Simple dinner, any of us can make this, and it is higher end restaurant quality (IMHO) at home and a great savings.

In Iowa tonight, just some lowly ham and bean soup with cornbread.

I could not believe the price of smoked ham hocks this morning. $3.99 per LB. Oh well, the price you pay for "comfort food"
