It's really simple, if you look at the map.
The weather is warmer in the south and more people are outside all year.

It's just another misinformed "news" story based on no scientific data analysis.

Agree, Exactly my point. So the whole point of the thread is pointless because it is based on nothingness.
It's like saying more people are bitten by sharks in Florida oh, but wait, people are swimming in the warm Florida weather for a much longer season than the northern states.
 
From my area. I know/have ridden with the lady that survived the accident where her friend was killed. Drunk driver. This is real. Not every pedestrian/cyclist is at fualt. Be careful. Slow down. Be alert/not distracted/clearly not high/drunk. Take a deep breath if not killing someone makes you 5 minutes late.
