Most dangerous animal in each state

We and the few neighbors we have close by, regularly catch Moose, Mule deer, Elk, Mountain lions, Coyotes, the occasional bear, and other animals on our cameras. Any of them can be dangerous. A neighbor had a mountain lion kill and eat a mule deer in his backyard. It was a bloody Christmas morning scene. Fortunately his kids were old enough that they didn't think it was Rudolph...

I would have to agree the only thing that really scares me in my corner of CO is mountain lions. Really the closest thing we have to a true predator. Fortunately they tend to stay away from people.

Rattlesnakes are concerning but that's a bite and done. A mountain lion can carry you away or render you unconscious quickly.

I'm in the country and the deer still run from people. But in town just 30 minutes away, the deer are not scared of people or dogs. I think they need to be shot with those guns that lob a large projectile and just hurt, thus they learn getting too close to humans = serious discomfort.

Not deer, but sometimes when a bear is relocated, the team will shoot it with bean bag rounds as soon as it is released from the cage, thus making the humans = danger connection.

Definitely not a good thing hitting a moose. A picture from our affiliated body shop from last week

We have the Mojave green rattlesnake. It has 2 types of venom to kill you with. I have never seen one on my property.... Does not mean they didn't see me though.
One of the kent Rollins stories from youtube said he heard a rattlesnake while setting up camp for a cowboy event. As it was still dark and drinking his coffee he noticed rattlesnake tracks that went right through the camp near the stove.

My old boss from the radiator shop was bbqing in flip flops on his porch when he heard a rattle , looked down and one was inches from his bare toes

chickens.......kill over 100 people annually in the US....Salmonella poisoning......

1st - Salmonella is not deadly.
2nd - You cannot catch salmonella if the eggs are washed with water. Commercially available eggs are always washed out with water or some sanitation solution. It's a FDA requirement to prevent salmonella poisoning.
3rd - I eat 1-2 raw eggs daily and never got salmonella or food poisoning (you can get the last if eggs are too old).
4th - It's misleading to talk like that if you've never eaten raw eggs and/or have never got salmonella.

I was actually thinking of raw chicken lol...and it was a joke but people do die from salmonella so I would say it can be deadly for the 420 people a year who die from it...maybe not the ones who don't tho lol...

This what a black bear strike looks like...it was our new CX5 turbo....sucked for sure..luckily in Montana an animal strike does not raise your insurance rates...doesn't look like much but was $6800 in damage...
