This is an extension on the radio problem and a new one. Disconnected the battery after cleaning the antennae connects in the engine bay. Nothing. Took off battery cable and nothing. Well, the radio will now change stations instead of being stuck on one station. So I know the unit is not bad, I'll just have to get under it and try to find where the antennae hooks up to the unit and check it. There is a radio station close to my house, I drove by it and the radio will pick it up. It's above the gas pedal, one member told me. In the front, towards the engine, or rear, sides?????
Another problem has developed and need some input. This is a '93 GMC Sierra. Driver door light switch, the one that buzzes and turns dome light off/on when you shut the door, is funky. I thought it was kaput, but driving to work this morning, while the door is shut, it came on. Car pool buddy thinks the truck us possessed. That switch is plastic, and the position of it is so that you can't get to it from under the dash. Does it just "pop" out with a screw driver? Will I need a whole new piece or does it sound like the wire may have shorted out?
