More fun with gas prices ( pic)

I paid $2.99 at Costco here in South Carolina yesterday.
Gas prices are determined by state and local taxes.
I think the fuel itself is pretty cheap and had gone up less than the rate of inflation since 1973
Correct. People have difficulty looking beyond the past 5 years and mostly have blinders on. Our entitlement tendency adds to the problem.
This graph ends just before the Covid dip and current rebound.

People mainly took their house sale obscene offer and ran, that was the only reason they left CA. It happens time to time, then settles back down.
 
Luckily i don’t have to pay gas for my company car, some weeks I use $150 worth of gas.

I always run 93 octane.
 
This topic has required too much moderation and like all the others is locked.

Any new ones will be shut down as rising prices have a reason that we can't discuss.
