Short and sweet: I wanted a little more "throat" out of my Jeep while keeping it civilized. I hate highway drone and I'm long past the times of needing 3" straight pipes dumping mid-way down the chassis. However, being the cheap-o that I am, it was one of those ideas that always got pushed back as "unnecessary". That is, until I stumbled on this puppy:

AP Exhaust VX2442

For $28, I couldn't be happier. It slid right in place of the OE muffler, albeit ~10" shorter. Easily solved with an 18" piece of 2.25" pipe from OR. Everything else is stock, exhaust wise. The sound is exactly what I was looking for: slight burble at idle followed by a deep growl up until about 3,500 RPM. After that, engine noise more or less takes over. There is absolutely ZERO drone at any RPM that I've been able to detect, which is a huge sticking point for me.

I know there's a bit of rasp towards the end as the revs come down, however I did not notice any "brapp" or popping while driving. Thanks for watching!
