Moly Question

Can using Moly substitute for lower levels of ZDDP? In other words, could Amsoil say use Moly and more Boron and lower the ZDDP levels and achieve full API and still maintain the same wear protection as they claim? Well, I never thought of it but, yeah! Now that I think about it, that was a stupid question. Looking at D1, it uses higher amounts of ZDDP, and therefore no Moly. Oils that use lighter amounts of ZDDP, use Moly. Is this right? I'm sure I am over simplifying a bit. [ June 06, 2003, 06:39 PM: Message edited by: buster ]

Or just use Schaeffer Oil which has a good amount of ZDDP plus a good amount of moly too!
