So, this YT algo lured me into watching one Scotty's video from 2010 and right there at 1:12 you can see a purple Mobil1 truck & suv oil jug.

I just thought it's funny since I was sure tuck&suv is smth new


I wanted to apologize beforehand to
1. Anyone who's annoyed with Scotty (I just couldn't resist to find out what's a "Simple Car Maintenance to Prevent Expensive Repairs")
2. If this topic was discussed here gazillion times (I'm quite young, please excuse my ignorance)

Now that I see the picture I remember it being on the shelves. At the time I worked in dealerships and bought what we stocked usually which was not Mobil 1.

Yup, nothing new. I also remember they had a brown label with a truck and/or SUV printed on it.

Edit: Or maybe I’m thinking of the current label? Kind of a Sinbad Shazam moment...
