Got the oil delivered today. But i was reading the dexos spec to fast this 0w20 is not dexos licensed its the 5w20 that has dexos1 gen2 classification.Just made an order on 3x5L Helix Ultra SP 0w20 from Weboil. Dexos 1 gen 2 fits me fine to the Chevy
I got some Mobil 1 AFE 0w20 at home so i will decide later on if I go for the Mobil1 or Shell for the winter. Been running on Mannol for a while but found out that they not have the Dexos specification by licence as they say so will go for a Dexos licensed oil next oil change.
quaker state and pennzoil is the same as Shell thoGot the oil delivered today. But i was reading the dexos spec to fast this 0w20 is not dexos licensed its the 5w20 that has dexos1 gen2 classification.
To bad that we dont have Quaker State and Pennzoil distributors here in Europe. But i still think this Helix Ultra SP 0w20 is good to run.
Mobil uses AN's in place of esters. In 2023 Mobil changed the composition of the oil. It’s just HC only base, without Molybden, without PAO and Esters… Shell has GTL base, has molybden
QS is nothing special.Got the oil delivered today. But i was reading the dexos spec to fast this 0w20 is not dexos licensed its the 5w20 that has dexos1 gen2 classification.

I have always felt that quaker state is such a B brand. But what do i know.QS is nothing special.
Shell in the US is branded as Pennzoil.
Exactly.I have always felt that quaker state is such a B brand. But what do i know.
I don't know if it's a B-brand, but it fills a niche in the US market as an affordable alternative to the premium brands (Pennzoil, Mobil 1, Castrol)I have always felt that quaker state is such a B brand. But what do i know.
if mobil 1 is 20 dollars for a gallon i dont see how a cheap alternative is needed.I don't know if it's a B-brand, but it fills a niche in the US market as an affordable alternative to the premium brands (Pennzoil, Mobil 1, Castrol)
Around $11/quart. +/- a couple of dollarsif mobil 1 is 20 dollars for a gallon i dont see how a cheap alternative is needed.
if ten dollars break the bank you have other problems. Oil here is 60USD for a gallon. I'd never even look at cheaper options if i were to live in the states. Just dont eat out for one day and you have ten dollars over for the better oilAround $11/quart. +/- a couple of dollars
Yes I know Shell is the owner of the brands. What i see is that Pennzoil has so many more options that is Dexos licensed and also QS a desent oil for the money. I would buy QS and change it more frequently than a expensive top brand oilquaker state and pennzoil is the same as Shell tho
I think you need to do a bit more research. Look at the VOAs and UOAs of both oils, then look at the comments made here regarding AN.In 2023 Mobil changed the composition of the oil. It’s just HC only base, without Molybden, without PAO and Esters… Shell has GTL base, has molybden
