We just opened a fresh 55-gallon drum of this. It smelled quite different than others. We sucked about 10 gallons out of it, then scooped some out for a sample.
I tried to attach the report that I received back from Mobil but was not able to.
We use MobilServ for analysis at work.
I will type the highlights:
Diluted particle counts:
>4um: 2558
>6um: 1024
>14um: 172
PQ index: 2
Visc@40C (cSt): 45.7
Oxidation (Abs/cm): 2
Water (Vol%): 0.006
K (Potassium): 2 ppm
Si (Silicon): 1 ppm
Ca (Calcium): 66 ppm
Mg (Magnesium): 1 ppm
P (Phosphorus): 323 ppm
Zn (Zinc): 546 ppm

Such great oil, ran it for thousands of hours in Servo Hydraulic equipment in CLT too. What are you using it for?
We have six facilities in the Piedmont and foothills area. We manufacture commercial and industrial air moving equipment. So, a lot of sheet metal work. A lot of the newer, automated stuff is moving away from hydraulic, going all servo electric. But we still have a lot of punches, panel benders, shears, press brakes, etc. that are hydraulic. Reservoirs ranging from 20 gallon to 350 gallon in the big press brakes.
Yes, this stuff is great, workhorse fluid.

Wow. I had no idea.
