Anyone have experience with this oil? I have used it in my wife's '99 Cavalier for several thousand miles. I assume it did fine, but have not done an analysis. We just got her a new '03 Cavalier and am considering this oil in 10w30 for summer and 5w30 for winter. I didn't get a clear picture reading the various UOA'a in this site. Help?

Mike,
I've run Drive Clean 10W-30 in several of my cars. Most recently a 1992 Dodge Spirit with a 2.5L 4. After 127,000 miles, half city-half hwy, the only thing working good was the motor! Just change it every 3/3,000. Just bought 2 cases at K-Mart for $1.00 a qt.

I have a stock of Mobil DC and this depresses me.I have a DOHC Toyota and change @ 3k.I can't afford UOA,I can dump it for $10.Do you oil Gurus think it will go 3k under severe service type of driving??
I also started using #132 in Both Toyota DOHC motors.
PLEASE Give Us Your Opinions!

Rich,
Here's what I've done on Drive Clean:
Current: 1998 Caravan 70K
1995 Taurus 103K
Past: 1992 Spirit 127K
1989 S-10 93K (wrecked)
1987 Caprice 147K
No engine problems ever. Just change it 3/3. If you still feel bad about Drive Clean, send it to me, I'll use it and continue to watch my cars rot away with age while my motor purrs on.

Smitty,
I just worry knowing the two Toyota DOHC's I have are hard on oil.I'm afraid of shearing the oil and it losing its VI.I would really like to get a diffinitive answer.Like the concencus on QS.I can't drop$20 on UOA.Mobil DC is on sale alot.So is Castrol but not as cheap or often.
Sorry I'll still use the Mobil DC in 2 Escorts I look after. These Toyotas are long term cars!
I used M1 in winter in one interval and flipped out @4,400 and changed the oil. What seems to be the most shear stable oil out otc??
