I’m pleased with this report. The 240 wagon was heavily loaded with rocket box, awning, two mountain bikes, camping and bike gear for two. Six passes over 10,000’ feet and one over 11,000’ the Monarch Pass, just west of Salida CO. I had my foot into her every day due to winds, climbing, high elevations and AC on the highways.

The engine seems to be in good shape. The oil certainly did it’s job well.

Inga is shown here on Route 50 next to the Arkansas River just east of Salida Colorado.

How many miles are on the car?
189,120 miles.

This is the second engine. Unfortunately the first engine was lost to an overheat event. This is the first UOA on this engine so I’m especially pleased with the report.

i have configured the car for heavy loads. It has rear overload sprIngs, an AT cooler, slotted and drilled front rotors, a 3 row all metal radiator and 15” steel rims/tires. The electric pusher fan is wired to a Maradyne adjustable temp fan sensor.

Looks like an awesome adventure, Sam!

PS My wife’s and my first new car was a 1982 Volvo DL 2-door with 4-speed manual with overdrive. That car defined a significant time in ours lives. Our DL was flawless for 172,000 miles. Zero problems, original clutch. Sold it to a good friend who drove it to 350K miles. He put a clutch in it but nothing else. Ran great until he eventually donated it to charity.
