Mobil 1 SS in Tri Synthetic containers ?

I was speaking to a representative at Mobil in Canada last week about why I can only purchase
0W-40 in the Tri Synthetic formulation. I complained that all the other weights were now SS
so "What's the delay ? " He made it clear that he did not know this for sure but he was under the impression that they have not got their containers printed yet ( French laungauge crap that we have to endure up here )and the actual
oil is in fact SS. Any one heard of such a thing?

I believe it, as they did the same thing when TriSyn came out. I phoned to ask them why it was out in the US but not in Canada (this was summer 99) and they said they were using up old labels, so some new stuff was in old bottles.
