Is this the first time you've stretched that old Volvo 8-9k OCI? If not, then the EP will make you proud.
Actually I've done several 8K OCIs using M1 0w-40. The car started using oil two years ago, so I switched back to 10w-30 HM. The Honda in my signature also prefers 5w-30 EP, so I may be able to consolidate to one oil for those vehicles. The Honda should have hit 12K on the oil by the end of May were in not for current circumstances. Eventually the 0w-20 is coming out and it will be a 5w-30 vehicle going forward.
