Mobil 1 HM 10W-30

I thought it was like 3.3 or something? It's been a while, lol.

Historically, it's been 3.5 for a long time. Part of the ACEA A3/B3 rating so it can't (couldn't) be less. The 5w-30 is like 3.2, and that's a big reason 10w-30hm has been so popular with so many people.

If it's still A3/B3, its still 3.5 - one proxy to tell since they've dropped revealing that. It's still not EC, so safe bet it still is.

Current PDS lists nothing ACEA from what I can see:

I sent an email asking if it's still >3.5 HTHS. We will see if I get anything besides "proprietary". Although how asking viscosity could be proprietary is beyond me.

This is what was claimed on june of last year, from what I found in the web archive, the current claimed specs for viscosity, density, pour point, and flash point appear the same, but A3/B3 is no longer claimed

I think it's interesting they stopped claiming A3/B3 on the 10W-40, here's a Jug of 10W40 SP, that I have out in my garage from June of Last year.

But the current image on Walmart shows no ACEA A3/B3

I'd think just about any decent 10W-40 could claim A3/B3, so I wonder why they stopped claiming it

I have found images of the M1 HM 10W-30 with API SP with and without the ACEA A3/B3. I have been told you may now may have to meet A3/B4 so it's possible that's the reason for the removal.

I only the HM version.
Just looked through my archives. M1 10w-30 - HTHS 3.0. M1 HM 10w-30 - HTHS 3.5.

I think it likely still is just based on the 100C and 40C numbers and the fact it still isn't ILSAC but with HTHS no longer on the PI sheets, A3/B3 abolished and A3/B4 requiring a higher TBN I don't see any way of confirming without Mobil says so or paying to have it tested.

Right. The data I was referring is about 10 years old.
