Latest report came back .... decided to give M1 FS 0w40 a shot.. Engine was run pretty much the same as before. Will be going back to valvoline next OCI.
I doubt a single ingredient would affect "wear" to this extent. More likely, something is going on with this engine - possibly failing lifter or other internal engine component.I guess the Ram engine likes a stout dose of Molybdenum. Valvoline certainly has that.

It’s almost certainly di whereas the Mobil 1 is most likely tri.I guess the Ram engine likes a stout dose of Molybdenum. Valvoline certainly has that.

Previous was Valvoline, the ones before that were shaeffers 9000Was Valvoline used in the previous 4 OCI’s in that report?
Oil looked normal with no metal?Changed oil this morning with valvoline advanced 5w30. Sampling in 3k.
