Mobil 1 Drive Clean synthetic blend

Is this a new oil? I've seen Mobil 1 drive clean but I was just in Pepboys and noticed they have a synthetic blend. Never seen it before.

I'm pretty sure it was introduced in 2000. I remember reading the Mobil press release about it.
