Mobil 1 and Royal Purple at Indy

I have read some posts that suggests the color of the oil"Purple " is a gimmick. I see it as the Royal colors of the English and they chose that dye out of respect for their country just as a certain bevearage maker here in the States chose Red,White and Blue for the colors of their containers and labels.An American product,a English product.

Somehwere I posted that RP has a dye that is thermo-chronochroic, which means that with heat and time, it changes colors. Something akin to a chameleon.

Actually turns clear rather quickly from our testing of RP.
