Thoughts on Mobil 1 AFE 0w-20 for a 2015 Silverado 5.3? Local Costco has it on sale a good bit and with rebate, it’s pretty darn cheap. Thanks.

Used it several times in 2017 & 2018 5.3L … I let Costco card go … but do miss the singles used with a 5 quart jug for those 8 quart engines …

If the OCI is 10k miles or less, it doesn’t make sense to spend the extra $2.

Used it for over 100K miles in my 2016 5.3 Tahoe. No issues with it. Then I went to Mobil 1 EP. Just yesterday put in Mobil 1 Truck&SUV oil as Napa had it on sale in my neck of the woods. Have used only OW20 from the get-go. Now have 115K miles.

Not sure about AFE, but my son has a 2019 GMC Denali which calls for 0-20 and he uses M1 0-20 EP. His engine has 90K and still performs very well. His normal OCI is 12-15K.

EP is their old and time proven product line, I’d use it with confidence.

Yup, got 2x5qt EP jugs. Total cost after rebate is $10 for 5qt of EP. its a steal!
