If the OCI is 10k miles or less, it doesn’t make sense to spend the extra $2.I am not sure AFE makes sense when EP is only $2 more for 5qt.
M1EP is cheaper per 5 quarts this year because of the odd rebate structure.I am not sure AFE makes sense when EP is only $2 more for 5qt.

Thoughts on Mobil 1 AFE 0w-20 for a 2015 Silverado 5.3? Local Costco has it on sale a good bit and with rebate, it’s pretty darn cheap. Thanks.

PAO base and stronger additive pack. What is the difference?
EP is their old and time proven product line, I’d use it with confidence. Not sure about AFE, but my son has a 2019 GMC Denali which calls for 0-20 and he uses M1 0-20 EP. His engine has 90K and still performs very well. His normal OCI is 12-15K.
Yup, got 2x5qt EP jugs. Total cost after rebate is $10 for 5qt of EP. its a steal!M1EP is cheaper per 5 quarts this year because of the odd rebate structure.
$15 back off of 5 quarts of EP vs $10 back on AFE.

Who says that PAO not good ? The anti-wear magic is all in additivesSP oils are better than previous oils as preventing wear. PAO isn't the best at preventing wear.
