After 2 months I got my Napa oil analysis results back. Regular Mobil 1 5W30 and a Fram Tough Guard filter. 60,294 miles on the Yukon and 7314 on this sample. Replaced with Mobil 1 EP. Thoughts, concerns?

Looks to be a good run on a solid oil.
7500 miles seems to be safe.

Did you change it based on your OLM?

Yeah I’ll have to look at my notes but I always change at <5% remaining. My OLM has always been really close to 7500 miles.

Looks good except viscosity was thin. 9.1 would be the lower end of 0w30. Blackstone Labs says 11.6 to 15.3 is acceptable for 5w30. Fuel dilution? from too much idling/city driving? Maybe 6k miles between changes would help this?

I have a 07 Yukon Denali w/all aluminum 6.2 and we run synthetic 5w30. Viscosity results are always in the 12s & 13s. We do mostly hwy driving.

Thanks. Lots of idling and remote start usage. My wife sits in the drop off/pickup line for preschool and 1st grade multiple times a day as well as sometimes sits and idles for a while if the youngest falls asleep on her way somewhere. At the moment, 2800 hours on the Yukon, 853 are idle hours and 64,587 miles.
