What is this oil? It is sold on Amazon? Has a Diesel certification, could it be used in a motorcycle? I can not even find this out on Mobil 1 website? Factory Fill for Lexus LFA.

Question:
Is Mobil 1 5W-50 with Rally Formula on the Labels a Different Product?
Do you have more than one grade of Mobil 1 5W-50 oil? In other words, is there another Mobil 1 5W-50 oil that has a different specification or set of anti-wear ingredients than Mobil 1 5W-50 Rally Formula? I currently have two cases of Mobil 1 5W-50 oil that do not say "Rally Formula" on the label, and I am wondering if it has the same qualities and ingredients as your Rally Formula. The 5W-50 Mobil 1 that I have is specified as "API SM, SL/CF."

Answer:
We only have one Mobil 1 5W-50 that meets or exceeds API SM SL/CF. If the current label does not say “Rally Formula” it may be due to packaging design improvements, but the specification should be the same.

I don't know how suitable the 5W-50 would be, but a lot of people who ride a lot of miles would disagree with you about the 15W-50. It seems to be especially popular among Goldwing riders.

M-1 5W-50 Rally Formula is one of the oldest Mobil 1's out there if not the oldest. The first batches manufactured in Finland in 1989.
