Here are the results of 5w30 Mobil 1 Supersyn in my 98 chevy Silverado Z71 with the 5.7L. Oil had 3,002 miles on it and truck had 45,374 miles on it. I added 0.5qts during this period. I used a UPF52 AC-Delco oil filter. Blackstone Labs did the analysis. The supersyn results will be the first number and the Trisynthetic will be the second. Here are their comments.
WAYNE: Nothing too unusual turned up in this sample from your Silverado. Wear levels dropped once again and now show a very nicely wearing GM engine. Silicon, which is left over sealers from the factory, is almost normal at 20 ppm. No moisture, fuel, or antifreeze was found in the oil. Insolubles(oil oxidation due to heat, use and blow-by) were fine at 0.5%, showing good oil filtration and complete combustion. If your're interested in extending your oil use interval, we suggest trying 4,000 miles for the next oil change.

This analysis is the best one so far but I'm wondering about a couple of things. The magnesium amount of 83 in this sample is way below the 1432 amount in the Tri-synthetic sample. The Flashpoint of 360 degrees is quite a bit lower than the 420 degrees of the Tri-synthetic. Lead levels are way down from the previous sample and of course there is quite a bit more Moly in the Supersyn compared to the Tri-synthetic.
