Maybe MolaKule or SonofJoe could note something on anti foam from a oil category perspective … I know NMMA gets little respect from this crowd but do test for high RPM foaming …
An outboard mechanic wrote in on a blog where he ran a twin engine boat for an hour WOT … the test was with PCMO in one and FCW in one … claims to have pulled a “corn dog” dipstick on the road oil and pure oil on the marine grade …
Don’t see why HDEO has more focus on RPM than PCMO or marine ?

Typically diesels don't wind out to 6k rpm. They make their torque down low. So I'm theorizing that the PCMO has more anti foaming agent than the HDEO.
Again... speculation.

Sequence III, ml initial/ml after settling: 10 / 0
NMMA FC-W has lower requirements on ASTM D6082 as API SN:
Sequence IV, ml initial/ml after settling for 1 minute: 200 / 50 (NMMA)
Sequence IV, ml initial/ml after settling for 1 minute: 100 / 0 (API)
API CK-4 has higher requirements on ASTM D892 as API SN:
Sequence I, ml initial/ml after settling: 10 / 0
Sequence II, ml initial/ml after settling: 20 / 0
Sequence III, ml initial/ml after settling: 10 / 0
