Vehicle History
Dad's toy. The engine was rebuilt [hot-tank, cylinders bored, new pistons/rings etc.]
at 97358 miles on the ODO so I've reported the miles on engine as 7176, and miles on
vehicle as 104534.

OCI
This oil was in use for at least 2 years. The ODO definitely rolled over 00000 with
this oil sample in the sump, so there's at least 4600 miles on it. It might have been
Mobil 1 TriSyn SL as that's what I found in the trunk for top-up oil, of which 200mL
was used for top-up. There was at least one change before this was run.

My own comments : Lead is bad, iron is high. Silicon was suprisingly low considering what little faith I had in the air filter setup.

Wow, now here's one we don't see every day -- a 76 MGB. I agree with Al, the consult with Terry Dyson is probably a good idea, if for no other reason than it's going to be really hard to pick through our data here and find meaningful comparative info. My first impression, and beware, it's no more than an amateur's impression, is that this result may not be so bad, given the relatively non-standard facts (long time in service, recent rebuild, "ancient" design, and so forth). Keep after it, and please do let us know how it works out.
