Oil Analysis Report performed by
WearCheck USA Cary, North Carolina

Using Mobile 2 test kit with TAN/TBN

Listed are Four Sample Histories found on report.
2nd page of WearCheck report not listed, has Trending Analysis Graphs.
Looks like around 7200 miles is the optimal change out period for my vehicle. Normal City/Highway milage with a few trips offroad 4X4.
When extending my oil change over 7200 miles, the metals and additives still look good. Only the TAN & TBN limits are too close together.

sorry John, I don't see it.
I like his numbers and agree kinda where he is to change the oil.
I like it just the way it is... Give some time here... I say thumbs up!

Looks like you have the ChaChanga to do what I propose..
How about Changing the filter at least once midway, say at 4-5K... Repeat but with a filter change, and sample either 4K or 5K and then at drain around 10K.

What did you mean by, "the TAN and TBN limits are too close together"?

This is the first time I've seen Mobil 1 10w30 thicken out of grade.

What's with the iron so high and Si still at 15? This isn't still breaking in.

How is it that the fuel dilution can cause the Fe to be high?

This is a good report?

Jay,

The 2nd page of my report has graphs, one with TAN and TBN together. I feel that as long as the TBN number stays higher than the TAN the additives/oil are doing their job. Higher TAN as with the 10500 mile drain gave me, still within lab recommended metal numbers.

Also, the 10500 mile change I was testing a new type oil filter, sent from a friend in California. This filter is using a cartridge that is to be changed out every 5k. I didn't change it this time at 5K but should have. I wanted to see how well it filtered. The current oil change replaced the Silko filter with standard Mighty Brand filter.
I agree with Robbie Alexander change the filter at half interval.
I did notice a lower MPG maybe from restricted oil flow.

Fuel, Water, and Glycol numbers were less than. I'm not sure why the *lt replaced the less than sign that I typed.
