I have tough decision to make and would like your input.... I have two $10 Mobil 1 mail-in rebates and I don't know how to best use them.

Here are the vehicles in my family....

2007 Toyota 4-Runner (I am now using PP 5w30 in this rig)

2007 Toyota Yaris (It has been on M1 all along, but I have 4 quarts of Castrol Syntec waiting for it's next fill.)

2008 VW Rabbit (yeah, it takes 502 Castrol 5w40)

1989 Jeep Wrangler (It likes Mobil DELVAC 1300 15w40)

2007 Suzuki DL650 VStrom (It just got Amsoil Motorcycle)

2-Honda XL600 Enduros (They like DELVAC 15w40 like the Jeep)

So, besides purchasing M1 and giving it too one of you beggars, what should I purchase and for which vehicle??????

I am toying with the idea of purchasing M1 Diesel 5w40 and using it in the Enduros. What do you think?

Would that engine even have premature wear if you just used 5w30 Mobil 1 in your Rabbit ?

It is still under warranty and as long as it is....it will get 502 oil. The owners manual calls for 5w40. The only other oil I would pour into this engine is GC 0w30 (also 502 rated) and it will probably be my winter pour.

M1 0W-40 for the VW Rabbit. Just bought a two cases for my wife's '05 Audi S4 Avant at my local Mill's Fleet Farm. Price before rebate was something like $5.70/quart.

Well, I took advantage of the AutoZone Castrol Sale, hitting two stores and now have 20 quarts of 5w40 (502 rated), so I don't need any oil for the Rabbit.

What I have decided, after reading a ton of UOA's and studying the specs of oils, is that M1 0w30 is one of the best out there. I will purchase two 5 quart jugs from WalMart later this summer for the winter fill for my 4Runner and my daughters Yaris.
