My results below were obtained with Mobil 1 0w40, Lubecontrol, Fuel Power (most tanks), and Schaffers #132 in my '02 LS1 Camaro. Sample was taken 02/13/05. Oil Change Light illuminated at about 5400mi ... oil changed at 5948mi.
Results were obtained using a paper airfilter element in conjunction with an aftermarket Lid and a K&N oilfilter (HP 2006).
Vehicle is a 2002 Camaro Z28 with 32,502 miles on the odometer. Car is essentially stock with exception of a Yank converter. This oil was origionally put in the car in Fall of 2004. I added no make up oil, but did add over 1/2qt of Lubecontrol in small increments throughout the OCI.
At least 16 qtr mile passes at track as well as 2 dyno runs and some spirited driving on the street.
4th- This OCI
3rd- M1 0W40 w/paper elemnt(Aftr Mkt Lid), M1- 206,& Lube control
2nd- M1 0W40 w/paper element (stock lid) & M1-206
1st-M1 10W30 w/paper elemnt(Aftr Mkt Lid)& M1-206
My comments/observations ... Iron is fairly steady (Lubecontrol) ... lead, tin, aluminum, & copper are all down.
