Went to my local AZ today and found the elusive GC; However they had 3 different variations, and not enough of any one to completely fill my thirsty VW Touareg (4.2L V8, 9.6 quarts). I have 7 quarts that have the yellow "European Formula" blurb on the front label, code M07309, and 3 quarts with a slightly different label that is code M07199, so it's a bit older than the other (They even had 4 bottles of M02 on the back of the shelf, pretty dusty! I guess that is the actual Green! I almost bought one just to see it, but it wasn't worth $6.29).

Anyways, is there any problem mixing the M07309 and M07199? I would not think so, but I thought I would ask the experts. Opinions welcome!

Thanks,
T-Man

I say no problem with mixing. Even mixing Green and Gold should be ok.

I personally wouldn't mix the US 0w-30 with anything, but that is just me.

I have a couple decent UOA's posted with mixed GC. I've mixed date codes and Green and Gold. Nothing spectacular but definitely nothing near a toasted engine. You should be fine!

Thanks all! The "Made in Germany" is present on all vintages, I made sure of that. Looks like I'm OK, thanks for the comments.

Recommended OCI is 10K, I expect I'll get a UOA at 5K and see how it's doing.
