mixing diff. color coolants

Wife's car is a bit low on coolant. I'm gonna top it off when I look and it's orange. Now I know Dex cool you CAN"T mix other coolant in. But what about this? It's an 06 Scion. Prestone and the SuperTech coolant I have both say mixes with any brand and any color coolants.

Best thing to do other than getting the pink Toyota SLLC is get Zerex Asian vehicle formula pre-mix and add it in. You can find Zerez AVF at NAPA. Dexcool actually can be mixed with most other coolants in small amounts. Prestone all makes and supertech are Dexcool. I wouldn't use it.

Color of coolant doesn't matter. Its just a dye. If your just adding some coolant then use o.e. stuff. I don't know exactly what that is for toyota red.
