Mityvac adapters

I found an all-metal Mityvac at a fleamarket, so I picked it up. Came with 822303 adapters, but they feel rather hard, not very flexible. Is that normal? I'm a bit concerned about these, that they won't work when I go to do brakes, and that I ought to order new ones.

I used them yesterday, got the job done. Might buy some new ones, if they are cheap enough, as they pulled lots of bubbles.
