.005" diameter and look at the definition! I've used these before and great care is needed not to break.

Pic is taken with a SEM (scanning electron microscope); I can't remember exact numbers but composition is mostly Tungsten and only ~9% carbide.

Terry, I didn't mention in original post but these are endmills–IE mainly for milling (although it will drill). This is a 4 flute endmill but it also comes in 2 flute variety.

It's for machining small gas channels.

Considering a piece of paper is ~.0035" thick, it is incredible to see how finely the flutes are formed.
