Wow, that looks horrible. I don’t think I’ve seen one look like that. Louvres make it look non PG made. Who do you think made it?

As always, thanks for the pics!

MANN/HUMMEL still using old style Affinia/WIX structure. Date code is WIX old style. Junk is junk and that’s what MANN/HUMMEL give ya’ every darn time. 🤬🤬

From seeing all of your other posts, I completely agree. After the past few WIX/Protec you've posted, I'm very happy I'm slowly transitioning out of WIX and into PG filters. I wouldn't even be comfortable running this filter on a 20 y/o mower.

If you can swing it; try Donaldson white can. I use them with no issues and wire backed.

If the WIX XP has reinforced backing then it's a good option. Otherwise they're down the tubes.

O'Reilly's needs to find a new supplier for their low end black MicroGard filters.

Some of them are PG now. Not sure if they’re moving away from M+H for all the red box MicroGards or just for some part numbers but like at least half of them are actually PGs like green box Selects.

Can’t judge a book by its cover.
That’s for sure. Inside, the round holes well cut, as good or better than I’ve seen. The glue band at the bottom is how it should look, a nice small bead. I’m not cutting them open, even if I paid like $1.20 each. $12-$10 off, plus tax. Plan to use.
