I have a 2023 mg4 ev and its recomended to change the oil at 96.000 kms but i cannot find the recommended oil in my country. The thing that needs an oil change is like a single speed reduction gear unit with open differential in it, no clutches and no need for electrical insulation only gear. The spesific oil is Shell Sl2808 (Shell İ6 İx). The change amount is 0.9 Litres. It has 40C viscosity 28 and 100C viscosity 6. I plan to use Castrol transmax atf dexron 6, 40C viscosity 30 and 100c viscosity 6 with similar pour and flash points. Can i use dexron 6 like tesla uses or should i use castrol fe 75w manual oil?

This is all new to us. It seems that your fluid might be about a 75 rating, gear oil. The closest thing according to Grok3 is Mobil EV Driveline Fluid. If I remember correctly, a 75 gear oil is roughly the same viscosity as a 5W-30 motor oil.

I think its gear oil too because the people that changed the oil with recomended one seems like yellow or undyed it indicates gear oil on the other hand ATF is red. But my concern is the closest gear oil i can find is castrol fe 75w manual it has 32.2 viscosity at 40c and original shell one has 28 also i dont know if manual oil has similar additives like anti foam in it and it is %20 thicker. On the other hand ATF has 30 viscosity and it looks like it has anti foam and similar viscosity. My main concern is for seals did you think atf or gear oil is better for seals?

In the end, I'd go with an EV specific gear oil like the one suggested. I would not use ATF
