I glad to know I'm not the only one that notices the particles. Seems the vote is 50:50 on whether to keep using the MC filters. I buy Baldwins for the LS3 as they have always been clean. Maybe I'll switch to Baldwins for this engine as well, but I would be missing out on the silicone AD valve and the base bypass. Anyone have an idea on how often filters bypass? is is it every cold start or does the filter have to plug up.

I do like canister filters better. Numerous advantages as far as I can see.

Does anyone know which oil filter brands use rolled threads?
