Mercedes: motor mounts bad out of the box?

Gave another dealer a call, 320€ for both mounts. I think i'll go with that!

Something doesnt sound right, are these the same part #? A little higher or lower between dealers is normal but double seems like too much of a difference.

I am not surprised. They tried to sell me an oil filter for 25€ on something like that once... I have no idea why there can be that much difference from a dealer to an other.

Put OE mounts in it, the aftermarket mounts are a crap shoot regardless of who made them. I have had good luck with some of the Corteco mounts but on a VW they had a small amount vibration where the OE VW did not.

I found Corteco to be garbage after 500 miles, OM642

Ordered a trans mount for a customers 204 C250. Sad to see made in China. Noticing that more and more from Lemforder.

I would not be sad - China can make very good quality parts when the facilities are under good leadership and supervision.

That is very true. I guess more so I’ve seen a drop in Lemforder quality and so seeing this made me assume it’s another product following suit

You're not wrong. A lot of Lemforder stuff dropped in quality when they moved production elsewhere. Even M539 avoids Lemforder altogether now

These Schaeffer front arms are made in Turkey, I'm sure they're better than the Moog garbage they're replacing that lasted 30,000

Made in turkey stuff is normally decent - see a lot of the Delphi stuff made there, I think Deeza is the producer
